I couldn't wait any longer for an amature parnter to show up so I went ahead and danced Pro-Am at
Southwestern Invitation in Dallas. I practiced with Sergey, the 20 year old instructor for a whole year,
but two months before the competition, Sergey decided to leave the studio, so I had to re-do 10 different
rountines with Raza, the owner of I Dance 2.
I got 1st place in Pro-Am Open International Latin Championship and 1st place in
Pro-Am Open International Latin Scholarship because I was uncontested. I got 1st plce in
Pro-Am International Closed Bronze Scholarship among six students. Overall, I had a good time
and a great experience with my first competition. Next time I would like to participate in a
competition that draws more International style competitors, for example the Ohio Ball!
